Pink, Purple, White, Mica Powder, and gold leaf are featured in this stone clay earring design. The technique used is so much fun! I create a polymer clay slab comprised of translucent clay, complementary clay colors, pink/purple mica powder, and quality gold leaf. After creating a stone clay slab, I slice pieces and combine them to achieve a stone-like appearance. After baking, I sand and finish the pieces with resin. The resin adds a 3-D effect and enhances the colors and veins.
Each pair will have its own personality due to the nature of the technique. They appear to be heavy stone, but they are very comfortable and lightweight. If you love wearing unique and unusual, one-of-a-kind earrings, then these are the ones for you.
I enjoy creating this line of earrings. They are labor-intensive, but worth my effort. I only use gold or silver-plated findings, so no worries.
