A fun pair of licorice black and white clay earrings will be your go-to pair for the season. Each pair is hand fashioned from a proprietary mokume gane slab of clay. I then meticulously combine slices to form the basis of the earrings. Hearts are cut out, baked, sanded, and finally polished. Very labor intensive, but worth it.
The individual pieces are as hard as a stone. Its a lot of fun watching the myriad colors and swirls appear like magic. I never know exactly how a piece is going to turn out until I am finished. The clay has a mind of its own. And that really is cool!
They are comfortable to wear as they are very lightweight. I only use gold or silver-plated findings, so no worries.
